Season 4 is Benedict's season. Luke Thompson's long-running storyline becomes the headline romance — and it was filmed in Bath in 2026. Royal Crescent, Prior Park, the Holburne Museum, the Assembly Rooms: here is where each scene was shot, how to visit, and what to expect when you arrive.
Luke Thompson as
Benedict Bridgerton — Season 4 lead
Based on: An Offer from a Gentleman (Book 3, Julia Quinn)
- Benedict Bridgerton is the second son — the artist of the family, resistant to Society's expectations.
- Season 4 adapts Book 3 ('An Offer from a Gentleman'): a Cinderella romance with Sophie Beckett, an illegitimate daughter hiding her identity at a masquerade.
- Luke Thompson has played Benedict across all four seasons; Season 4 is his headline story.
- Filming for Season 4 took place in Bath in 2026, using the Royal Crescent, Prior Park, the Holburne Museum, and the Assembly Rooms.
- Benedict is the Bridgerton who most visibly reflects Bath's artistic character — his scenes use the city's most atmospheric Georgian locations.
- The masquerade sequences require grand ballroom settings: Prior Park and the Assembly Rooms are both used as key set locations for Season 4.

Lady Danbury's residence (exterior)
The Holburne's neoclassical facade at the end of Great Pulteney Street doubles as Lady Danbury's townhouse across multiple seasons. Free entry to the permanent collection. The Great Pulteney Street approach — the longest Georgian boulevard in Bath — is the iconic filming angle.
Assembly Rooms
Bennett Street, Bath BA1 2QH
Ball scenes — the most authentic Regency ballroom in Bath
Built in 1771, the Assembly Rooms hosted the actual Georgian social season that Jane Austen wrote about and Bridgerton draws on. The Assembly Rooms are closed for renovation until 2027, so the interiors cannot currently be visited. The Fashion Museum that used to ticket entry here closed in 2022.
