A fifteen-minute walk north from Widcombe but worth knowing — one of Bath's better kept real ale pubs on the Upper Bristol Road, just before Weston. The beer range rotates, the kitchen does straightforward pub food at lunchtime, and the crowd skews older and local rather than student and city-centre. Worth the walk if you're exploring the canal towpath westward.
